Missing Md. woman found

UPDATE at 7:30 a.m.: Howard County police say Mildred Jean Rice has been found and is safe.

WASHINGTON — Police in Howard County, Maryland are asking for help finding an 82-year-old woman.

According to police, Mildred Jean Rice was last seen around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Columbia, Maryland.

Rice is described as standing 5-feet-4-inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with white hair and green eyes. She was wearing a floral shirt, black pants and glasses. Police say she may be driving a gray 2003 Lexus four-door car with Maryland license plates.

New rules, new schools greet students returning to class in Montgomery, Prince George’s counties

Meanwhile, students at Frederick Douglass High School in Prince George’s County gathered on a newly renovated football field to start the year.
