Expect hazy sunshine, a few clouds and more comfortable conditions Sunday, with afternoon temperatures staying in the 80s. Most areas will remain dry, although a few showers are possible in the Shenandoah Valley, where a cold front is expected to stall.

Mostly cloudy with occasional breaks of sunshine Monday. An isolated afternoon shower or thunderstorm is possible, but most neighborhoods will stay dry.

Seasonably hot Tuesday, with increasing humidity through the day as southwest winds return.

Wednesday is forecast to be the hottest day of the week. High temperatures will approach 100 in some spots, with heat index values climbing into the low 100s.
