Cameron Harper’s late goal rallies Red Bulls to 1-1 draw with Fire

HARRISON, N.J. (AP) — Cameron Harper scored late in the second half after subbing in a minute earlier and the New York Red Bulls rallied for a 1-1 draw with the Chicago Fire on Saturday night.

Harper replaced Julian Hall in the 85th minute then used assists from Eric Maxim-Choupo and Omar Valencia in the 86th. It was his first goal in his fourth appearance this season.

Maren assists from defender Viktor Radojević and Jonathan Bamba in the 38th minute to score his fourth goal and give Chicago a 1-0 lead that stood through halftime.

It was the first assist for Radojević in his third career start and 10th appearance.

Ethan Horvath had four saves for New York (7-9-5) to help end a two-match skid.

Chris Brady saved five shots for Chicago (11-6-3), now 2-2-2 in its last six matchups with the Red Bulls.

Chicago saw a three-match winning streak in league play end. The Fire had won six in a row in all competitions for the first time since their debut season in 1998.
