Pr. Wm. Board Chair announces run for Va. lt. gov.

WASHINGTON – Prince William County Board of Supervisors Chairman Corey A. Stewart announced he will be running for lieutenant governor, .

Stewart was on Newsradio 1070 WINA in Charlottesville Monday when he said he would be running for the office.

He said he would make a formal announcement later in the year.

Stewart is well known for his vocal criticism of the Department of Homeland Security.

He has said on Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø’s program the DHS has knowingly released illegal immigrant criminals without collaboration with local authorities.

Prince William County filed a lawsuit against DHS in an attempt to get the agency to turn over records on .
