Reverend Dr. Howard-John Wesley, pastor of the Alfred Street Baptist Church, welcomed hundreds of marchers, including regional and local ecumenical believers and leaders, along with national faith leaders.

The hosting organizations said they would ask Congress to hold a national conversation on racial justice and equality in America, as well as full implementation of the Voting Rights Act of 1964.

The groups also want the policies of the movement to limit police violence implemented, and call to classify the mistreatment of Black people as a human rights violation.
