Seasonably hot and humid weather continues across the D.C. area Monday, with scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
A few storms could become strong to severe, with damaging wind gusts the primary threat. The Storm Prediction Center places most of the D.C. region under for severe weather.
A strong cold front moving through the D.C. area Tuesday will bring a greater chance for showers and thunderstorms, some of which could become severe with damaging winds and heavy rainfall, . 7News First Alert Meteorologist Eileen Whelan told Â鶹¹ÙÍø that will place the area under a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5).
Drier, sunnier and less humid conditions are expected during the second half the week.
