WASHINGTON 鈥斅燢ids are asking, 鈥淲hat is this thing?鈥� to a piece of technology, but it鈥檚 not an 8-track player, first-edition Apple computer or larger-than-life cellphone.
A new viral video from the popular YouTube series,聽Kids React shows youngsters perplexed by the VCR.
鈥淚 think it鈥檚 a projection screen,鈥� says 7-year-old Sydney of a black box placed in front of her.
Some kids surveyed know exactly what it is, while others say they have never heard of a VCR or VHS tape player before.
The kids 鈥� who say they use DVD and Blue-ray players, Xbox, Netflix and Hulu Plus to watch TV 鈥� were not impressed by the quality of the picture when they got the VHS player fired up.
鈥淚t looks like a blurry mess,鈥� one boy says.
The video has been viewed more than 1 million times since it was posted聽Sunday.
