NYON, Switzerland (AP) 鈥� European soccer body UEFA criticized FIFA for an 鈥渋ncomprehensible and unjustifiable decision鈥� to let United States at the World Cup against Belgium on Monday despite a red card in his previous game.
UEFA said in a statement FIFA 鈥渃rossed a red line鈥� with its decision not to enforce Balogun鈥檚 mandatory one-game ban, after coming under pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump
鈥淪ometimes rules are open to interpretation. In this case not,鈥� UEFA said, adding 鈥渢he integrity of the game is at stake and the credibility of a competition is undermined.鈥�
