PHILADELPHIA (AP) — running back was released from a hospital and traveled home with the team after he was injured in a at New England on Saturday night.
Jackson tackled Lan Larison of the Patriots on the opening kickoff and lay motionless right after making the hit.
The Eagles announced on Saturday night that Jackson had strength and movement in all extremities and had been taken to a hospital for further evaluation.
After he was injured, medical personnel from both teams attended to him and quickly called for a backboard and ambulance.
Players from both teams knelt near the sideline as Jackson was strapped onto a stretcher. Eagles players surrounded Jackson briefly before he was loaded into the ambulance and he was seen briefly raising his left arm.
Jackson was on Jacksonville’s practice squad last season as a rookie. He ran for 2,148 yards and 29 touchdowns in college, spending his last year at Arkansas after three seasons at Utah.
