On a per-share basis, the Norwalk, Connecticut-based company said it had net income of $3.50. Earnings, adjusted for restructuring costs and amortization costs, came to $4.53 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $4.44 per share.
The financial data firm posted revenue of $622.9 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $617.2 million.
FactSet expects full-year earnings in the range of $17.25 to $17.75 per share, with revenue in the range of $2.45 billion to $2.47 billion.
