WASHINGTON — Jimmy Kimmel wore an eye-popping suit on his ABC show late Wednesday night, and it was all for a good cause.
Last month, Kimmel challenged kids nationwide to send him enough loom bracelets – accessories made from rubber bands woven together on a pegboard kit – to make him a suit.
It was a spectacular sight, with the suit composed of about as many colors as it had rubber bands. The lapels are different colors. A pant leg displays an owl.
Kimmel showed it off on Wednesday night, remarking according to the that he was “98 percent rubber” and cracking, “I don’t know why everyone gets so down on child labor … Look how awesome this is.”
Along the way to accumulating enough loom designs, Kimmel learned about the MaxLove Project, a non-profit benefiting kids with cancer inspired by 6-year-old Max Wilford, who has brain cancer.
Max was on the Kimmel show Wednesday night, with the host giving him a loom cape. And the suit is being auctioned off on , with all proceeds going to benefit the project.
Bidding lasts until March 8, according to ABC. Bidding is currently at $3,500.
