Celebrity rabbi recounts experience at N.J. mall during shooting

WASHINGTON – Rabbi Shmuley Boteach says he wasn’t shocked when a , where he was shopping with his wife and three children Monday.

Boteach, known for speaking publicly on relationships and religion, hid in his vehicle with two of his children while a gunman fired shots, trapping his wife and his teenage daughter in Garden State Plaza in Paramus, N.J. The gunman, identified as 20-year-old Richard Shoop, later killed himself.
