WASHINGTON – This week’s Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Pain in the Gas Survey shows the regional average for regular unleaded gas remained the same at $3.90 a gallon, 24 cents higher than one year ago this week.
This week, mid-grade went up 4 cents to $4.12 a gallon, and premium also remained at $4.23.
Diesel climbed by 6 cents to $4.15.
Typically, prices dip after Labor Day. AAA Mid-Atlantic has said prices typically drop as demand tapers off and gas stations switch to less expensive winter-blended gasoline.
One year ago, the price of regular averaged $3.66 a gallon.
