Hands replaced on Georgetown’s clock

WASHINGTON – Georgetown’s Healy Tower’s clock has its hands back.

The university replaced them more than a week after they disappeared, reports.

The university continues to investigate the theft of the hands, which may have been pilfered as part of a college prank.

The thieves Thursday posted a on CollegeCraig.

Georgetown spokeswoman Rachel Pugh says the university put a pair of spare hands on the clock’s face, but not before repairing about $9,000 worth of damage done to the clock and surrounding area.
