Fairfax Co. public schools to use new alerts for delayed buses

WASHINGTON — Fairfax County Public Schools will activate a when students return to classes Tuesday. Parents will be notified about bus delays through email, social media and other communications channels such as the FCPS Mobile App.

“We are rolling out our ‘Late Bus Alert’ system in phases this year,” spokeswoman Raven Hill said. Subscribers will receive text messages or emails.

Maryland’s largest school system, Montgomery County Public Schools, does not have a late bus notification system.
