Keara Dowd is the afternoon drive writer for Â鶹¹ÙÍø. Previously, she worked as the night editor, producing from 7 p.m. through the overnight hours.
After graduating from Ithaca College in 2012 with a degree in journalism, Keara returned home to the D.C. area and started working at The Washington Post as a news aide in the sports department. There, she did everything from layout to social media to reporting high school sports.
After a couple of years, Keara still had the broadcasting itch she had in college, so she joined Â鶹¹ÙÍø.
When not working, you can usually find her checking out D.C.’s restaurant scene or cheering on the local teams — you can even hear her talking about them on some of Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s roundtables.
