We now know who is taking the helm at Metro. Randy Clarke 鈥� who comes to the D.C.-area from Austin, Texas 鈥� is stepping into what many consider one of the most challenging jobs in U.S. transportation. He鈥檚 tasked with rehabbing an underfunded and aging, yet essential transit system in the nation鈥檚 capital.
